Appointments can be booked up to 3 weeks in advance and we run a daily surgery from 3.00-4.00 pm for patients who feel they must be seen the same day.  Our telephone lines are open from 8.00 am to 6.30 pm.

Home Visits
If you are too unwell or infirm to visit the Surgery, please  telephone before 10.00 am as this allows the doctors to plan their visits. Telephone           942 7528

Patient Participation Group (PPG)

We have formed a Patient Participation Group (PPG) at the Tilehurst Surgery.  The group contains a cross section of our patient list and the Chairman will be elected from this Group. 

The aims of the PPG are:

  • To provide the Doctors with strategic advice about the healthcare needs of our local community.
  • Assist with Health Promotionm.
  • Ensure that all patients are kept fully informed of the effect on the Surgery of NHS changes.
  • Help to promote Volunteer Services.
  • Fundraising for the Surgery.

 

In addition we will be a leading Group on the North & West Reading Consortium.  A major part of this role will be to provide advice and communicate healthcare decisions taken at Consortium level to patients.
